Terms of use

What Sonicrew is

A tool to bring musicians together around a song: mark it, say what you play, call your crew, practice with a song sheet and a metronome, and have each person record their part. Sonicrew does not play or distribute the original song: the link stays a YouTube link.

Your content

• What you upload (messages, sheet, recordings) is yours and you are responsible for it.
• Record only your own performance. Don't upload the original recording of the song or tracks taken from it: we don't have a license to host them.
• The song sheet accepts chords, not lyrics: lyrics belong to their authors.
• The chords you save in a sheet are shared, without your name, with the next bands that play that song on Sonicrew, who can correct them.
• A band's recordings are private to that band. If you publish the mix, do it from your own accounts (YouTube, TikTok, etc.), which have their own rights agreements.
• We may remove content that infringes third-party rights or these terms.

Usage data

If you accept usage measurement, we use that data only to improve Sonicrew: never for advertising, and it's never sold or shared. Accepting these terms does not mean accepting measurement: it's a separate choice you can change in "Your profile". Details in the privacy policy.

Fair use

Sonicrew is for bands, not a general chat. There are daily limits (rooms, messages, recordings per spot) so it works well for everyone. Don't try to get around them or use Sonicrew for spam or harassment.

Age

You must be at least 14 years old to use Sonicrew.

Account and access

You can use Sonicrew without an account. If you turn on the account with your email, look after access to your email: whoever has it can enter your account. You can delete the account whenever you want from "Your profile".

Rooms and expiry

Rooms without activity are deleted after 90 days, and recordings 90 days after they are uploaded.

No warranties

Sonicrew is offered as is, at an early stage. There may be outages or changes. We are not liable for loss of content beyond what the law requires.
